- [SETUP] A few things worth setting up for yourself
- [THE BELIEF] What this account is built on
Quick intro, I'm Oli.
After three and a half years as the AI lead at a UK insurance company, I left my job to build with AI full time.
I've spent the past couple of those years with my feet in two camps, one the stable corporate route and the other the world of building something myself.
So I made the decision to give it a proper shot.
The desk I'm writing this from.
The quote I keep coming back to that I think summarises it best is one that I heard on Dragon's Den from Joe Wicks and it goes:
“If you're going to miss the bus, miss it running.”
One promise up front, I won't spam you with emails. Just one a week, normally on a Thursday, consisting of a mixture of useful resources, thoughts on how to think about the world of AI and maybe a case study from my coaching.
Without further ado, here are a few things worth setting up for yourself!
Catch Claude before it starts making things up
When Claude forgets your name, it's probably forgetting your other instructions too. Get Claude to call you by your name in every reply so you can spot the moment it slips up.
The thirty second setup →Never take a big decision on one AI's opinion
One model tends to tell you what you want to hear. The Council skill has five experts thrash it out first and hands you the balanced view.
Set up your own council →The prompt framework for the tasks you keep putting off
CRIT (Context, Role, Interview and Task) is an amazing prompting framework I got off Codie Sanchez's podcast 'Big Deal' that helps you structure your thoughts to get AI to help.
Steal the method →To finish, my belief and the underlying narrative for my content is to try and show you what is possible with AI, specifically when you take the time to build an ecosystem that knows you.
Most of us are stuck in the position where we're spending too much time making sure the machine keeps running to be able to focus on the big levers that would really make a difference to the business.
If any of this resonates, and you're a founder or a business owner wearing lots of hats, hit reply, I'd love to hear about how I could help.
